Day Day 1 : Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
Drive to the western gate and begin trekking through dense rainforest. Overnight at Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650m). Trek: 6 km / 3–4 hrs
Day Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
Ascend into moorland zone with views over Shira Ridge. Overnight at Shira 1 Camp (3,610m). Trek: 8 km / 5–6 hrs
Day Day 3 : Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp

Day Day 4 : Shira 2 to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
