The Rongai Route is the only trail approaching Mount Kilimanjaro from the north, near the Kenyan border. This 5-day trek offers a drier, less-crowded alternative to the popular southern routes, with breathtaking views over the Amboseli plains and a gradual, steady ascent ideal for beginners. Enjoy a scenic and peaceful journey through pine forest, moorland, and alpine desert before reaching the snowy summit of Uhuru Peak. This route is ideal for those seeking a quiet wilderness experience and a higher chance of wildlife sightings on the lower slopes.
