Tanzania cultural programme was launched to give local communities the opportunity to improve
their economic livelihood by participating in tourism activities.
Tanzania is endowed with rich cultural heritage of over 120 ethnic tribes and Cultural tourism
programme enables tourists to gain a unique insight into those people’s way of life.
Leave your safari vehicle behind and walk through the lush tropical slopes of mountains, hills, valleys
and plantations. Meet the ethnic groups(tribes) like Maasai, Datoga, Hadzabe, Iraq, chagga…and
learn their almost forgotten traditions and a way of life that is so closely linked to nature and
wildlife.
Listen to drumbeats and interpret music and dances inherited from ancient ancestors. Learn
historical Swahili Coast. Explore the savannahs on camelback or donkeys. Boat down a river, or row
on one of the many lakes. Paddle between mangroves or sail with fishermen to pristine sandy
islands. Climb holy mountains and benefit from the diagnostic methods of a traditional healers.
Taste the local cuisine and sample the local brew.
And then, in the evening, listen to ancient legendary tales around an open fire. An experience you
will never forget.

At 7:30am, you will be picked from your hotel in Arusha town to Moshi Materuni village waterfalls in one of the tallest areas, spewing crystal clear glacier water 70m into its basin. The beautiful path leading to Materuni waterfalls located 2500m above sea level. To this waterfalls you will be crossing valleys, hills covered by tropical rainforest, coffee, avocado & banana farms and on a Clear day great views of Kibo Kilimanjaro highest peak. Also you will learn how to make Coffee and taste it. In the evening you will be picked to Arusha town center and dropped to your lodge/hotel.
After breakfast around 8:00am, you will be picked from your hotel to Lokki Maasai village (southern of Arusha town) and have a walking tour in the village wilderness, visiting local primary schools, visiting traditional medicine doctors and have some knowledge about that, also you will visit one of the local Cattle markets. Dinner and overnight at Maasai village House – Boma.
After breakfast, picked from your hotel in Arusha town to Kikuletwa hot Spring, a hidden gem along Arusha and Moshi, a beautiful Oasis surrounded by a dense vegetation providing a jungle experience and swimming leisure into hot natural water. The waters are really beautiful,warm with a clear aqua-blue; you will be jumping into hot water by using the swinging tree branches and there are some little fish in the water that give your feet a “tackling massage”.You will be staying there to experience sunset as well with served foodinto a little jungle. In the evening you will be picked back to Arusha town and dropped to your hotel/lodge.
In the morning you will be picked from your hotel and drive for 30 minutes to Mulala village on the slopes of Mount Meru. Here you will visit a Women Group project (Agape), as you arrive you will be greeted by their chants and dance, as it is a traditional greeting when entering a traditional African village. Experiencing their joy while immersing in a rich cultural experience created by this industrious and dynamic women group.Today you wil participate some activities like making handcrats, processing honey and milk products like butter, cheeses. These products are sold in the markets of Arusha and other cities to finance the local village school,water projects and simpe medicines. In the evening you will drive back to Arusha and dropped to your hotel/lodge.
After breakfast, around 8:00am, you will be picked to Maasai land at Monduli Mountains. Monduli is on North West of Arusha town and comprises of 4 traditional Maasai villages, which are, Emairete, Enguiki, Eluwai and Mfereji. These Maasai villages’ lies along the Great Rift Valley where you will walk and view wild animals at a close distance, experiencing the scenic beauty and enjoy the star gaze at night from the sky. Dinner and overnight at Monduli Maasai campsite (B,L,D).
On this day, you will be taking nature walks on paths leading to hills and valleys, viewing wildlife and bird watching. Then you will experience cultural immersion as you interact with Maasai, learning the Maasai way of life and some Maa language. Also you will be visiting traditional doctors and learn the plants medicine, visiting local Maasai schools and cattle market. You may eat roasted meat that has been grilled the Maasai way in a bush. After break, you will have 2 hours drive to Lake Eyasi South of Ngorongoro crater where you visit bushmen (Datoga & Hadzabe) where you will experience their lifestyle by hunting with them into the bushes and taste their food as well. Also you will learn about the local handcrafts as main tools into bush life. Dinner and overnight at Bushmen village camp.
